Want to write or make an audio piece that tells your story—either a small incident or you’re the whole epic sweep from childhood to now? Let us help. Whether the desired end product is a three-hundred page published book, a six-word autobiography or something in between, we’ll write it and get it published. If you want to make a video or a series of audio recordings, we will make that happen, too.  Maybe it’s your own story or your family history. Maybe it’s the genesis of and accomplishments of your business or organization.

  Whatever you wish to tell, we are here to help get it out there—on paper, in audio, or digitally. In an ideal world, we’d tell 7.6 billion stories, one for each individual on Earth—but for right now, let’s start with yours.

Do you want your natural area to be well-loved? The Nature Division of the Office of Modern Composition helps public and private owners of parklands compose signs, wayfinding, podcasts, websites and other communication tools that make people eager to visit, and that when they arrive, help diverse audiences feel welcome. We offer comprehensive services to assess with owners and community members what’s on site and what’s already working well, and we have a range of clever hacks so changes that need to be made can be accomplished inexpensively and beautifully.

Our goal is to make people happy by connecting them with nature, to greet park visitors with warm visual welcomes when they arrive, and to provide signs and interpretive materials that feel local, approachable, and just right.

Do you long to write better sentences? The Education Division of the Office of Modern Composition can help you increase the output and quality of  written work.  Each of the teachers and coaches at OMC have years of experience as college professors, professional editors, high school teachers, or writing coaches. We work with any type of writing or writer, from the avant garde to the academic.

Some specialize at helping clients improve at the practical parts: structure, grammar, plot, framing. Others of our coaches support academics struggling to find time to write and who wish to increase the output (and reach) of their published work.  Training and support for writers ranges from conceptual and psychological to nitty-gritty detail.

In addition to supporting writers working in the medium of print, we teach and tutor audio producers, podcasters, and artists working with a combination of image and text. Regardless of the medium or the genre, if you’re trying to tell a story, we can help.
